Bilton’s team is always thinking of ways to improve upon the tried-and-true industry standard. Our people constantly have ideas on how to improve our equipment’s design. If you visit our shop, you’ll often see design scribbles on the walls, shop floor — even our picnic table out back. What you see written on the shop floor one day could save you real money in operating costs over a year. Here are a couple of our greatest innovations:

Freestanding, knock out drums

Bilton found a way to eliminate the need to design flare knock out drums with large buildings to enclose the unit. Bilton-designed side enclosures provide the same functionality as buildings in a much smaller package that is less expensive to transport. Our unmanned enclosures also eliminate the need for costly gas and fire detection systems.

Skid-mounting during manufacturing

Bilton was one of the first companies in Alberta to mount skids on tanks larger than 750 bbl during the manufacturing process. Skid-mounting tanks at our shop minimizes handling time, cuts transportation costs and ensures easier installation on site.
