SAFETY and HEALTH

Safety drives our processes

The safety of our people is critically important in everything we do. Bilton’s safety programs are driven by a strong commitment at all levels of our organization. Leaders and employees throughout the company are actively involved and held accountable for fulfilling their safety responsibilities. Bilton’s injury statistics are among the best in the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry. Our committment to continuous safety improvement will ensure we hold our position as a top safety-performer.

Bilton’s project foremen have completed a Leadership for Safety Excellence program. Project foremen conduct a thorough hazard assessment for every new job at Bilton and brief their project teams before work begins. Regular toolbox safety meetings over the course of your project ensure any new hazards are identified and the appropriate precautions followed. Before they start working, new employees receive a safety orientation covering hazards they may encounter in their particular job.

Bilton’s workplace safety programs received a Certificate of Recognition (COR) from Alberta Employment and Immigration’s Partnerships in Health and Safety. Our COR certification process evaluated the safety of Bilton’s work practices, safety training of new and existing employees as well as our safety program documentation system.
